Wednesday, June 23, and Welsh listeners with a taste for the macabre should not
fail to listen to it. According to our more superstitious ancestors, St. John’s Eve
was one of the most dangerous nights of the year, when all the ghastly denizens of
the supernatural world were abroad and the Devil himself walked the world to
accost the unwary.”
