  "category": "[RADIO SERIES]",
  "article": "This short-lived BBC series dramatized authenticated ghost sightings and legends of the British\nspectral tradition. Apparently, it managed to ruffle somebody’s feathers, because the last episode,\n“The Dead Witness of the R.101,” was, according to BBC program notes, “not b/c [broadcast] for\npolicy reasons.”\nEpisodes that were broadcast included “The Demon Drummer Of Tedworth” (3/6/46), “The\nHaunted Rectory Of Borley” (3/13/46), “The Ghostly Squire Of Hinton Ampner” (3/20/46), and\n“The Tackley Poltergeist” (4/18/46).\nThere was later (on December 26, 1952) another program on the BBC entitled Do You Believe In\nGhosts?, but it was a one-shot rather than an attempt at a series, consisting of “recordings by\nlisteners of personal ghost stories” (a kind of forerunner to today’s Mexican mano programs).",
